To the parents of great South Baton Rouge Charter Academy students:

I hope you are having a restful and relaxing summer vacation and look forward to an exciting new school year.  As you know, we have made some leadership changes and I am very pleased to announce that Yolanda Burnette-Lankford has accepted the position of principal to lead south Baton Rouge Charter Academy as principal.  She has been a tremendous asset to our school community and has dedicated herself to increase school achievement data and overall school performance.  She has built strong relationships with our teachers, parents and most importantly, our students and we are certain that she will provide a smooth transition when students return in the fall.

Ms. Burnette-Lankford earned her Bachelor of Arts in mass communication from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, and her secondary English certification from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA. She earned her Master of Education in educational administration from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.

Thank you for your continued trust and confidence in South Baton Rouge Charter Academy. Our school is moving in the right direction and we are well on our way along our journey toward excellence.

Sincerely,

Lonnie Luce

State Director – Louisiana
